On this third day of our visit to Japan, we are headed north to Sandai on the Tohoku (north east) Shinkansen. We are taking the 7.16 am train leaving Tokyo station.
We stop at a small kiosk shop right on the platform to get some snacks and drinks for our trip.
Another meal on the shinkansen, our second breakfast in a row on the shihkansen.

Leaving Sendai in the early afternoon, wife got a hold of a old friend in Shizuoka so we are headed there to meet her.
We meet up with Kaori at the main entrance to the Shizuoka station, and spent time at a cafe talking about the good old days...
