Day 6, Tuesday May 22, 2007

Some of the more colorful Yukata (Japanese summer Kimono) ready for wear for the guest.

Here are some of the shots taking inside the Hotel.

Kakenagashi - an open air type private onsen in the back of the room with natural hot spring water.

This is the Japanese garden behind the room.

Our in room breakfast served with traditional Japanese delicacies from the Kusatsu region.

At the Kusatsu main bus terminal waiting for our bus back to Karuizawa station. We are taking the 9.15 am bus still about 30 min away.

My wife love the local food call "Onsen Manjuu" , a bread dough made with brown sugar wrap with sweet red bean and steamed with hot spring vapor. In this photo she is on her last "onsen manjuu" :)

In our quest for the Starbucks city mugs, we took the Shinkensen back down to Nagoya and Kyoto to purchase the mugs that we were missing.
