Day 1, Thursday May 17 2007

May 16, 2007 (Wednesday) Left our house at about 3.30am heading to bay area. Arrived at South Hayward Bart station a little after 5 am got on the 5.15 am Bart train and transfer at the bayfaire station for the SFO train. This picture was taken while waiting for the SFO train at the bayfair station. We arrived at San Francisco Airport at around 6.30 am.


After checking in at the United counter, we realized that our flight from SFO to LAX was cancelled, instead we were rescheduled on a SFO to Seattle flight. This is the aircraft we boarded to seattle (Boeing 737, N312UA). The flight is schedule to depart at 9.18am

After 9.5 hours of flight we finally arrived at Narita Airport on Thursday May 17 at 4.20pm. It was a soggy humid afternoon, temperature in the 80's with 100% humidity. After going through immigration, we headed towards the JR (Japan Rail) ticket office to exchange our JR RailPass.

We stay at the Kanda Station Hotel, about 5 min walking from the Kanda Station.












That night we took the subway to Roppongi Hills wanting to visit the Tokyo City View. To our surprise, the Tokyo City View was closed. So we end up just walking around the plaza and enjoy the night light.
